Ms. Megan Hajworonsky, clinical workflow analyst and lead for the MHS GENESIS transition at Medical Department Activity - Alaska, prepares to flip the ceremonial switch to deploy MHS GENESIS, the Department of Defense’s new electronic health record, Oct. 31 during an early morning ceremony at Bassett Army Community Hospital. The transition marked MEDDAC-AK as the first OCONUS Army military treatment facility to go-live with MHS GENESIS.
Bassett Army Community Hospital and all outlying clinics will be MHS GENESIS sites as of October 31, 2020. Patients can expect longer wait times in the pharmacy, referrals, lab and radiology, as well as fewer available appointments through January. Make sure you and your family have access to the new MHS Patient Portal by upgrading DS Accounts to Premium.
