Women's Health refers to comprehensive women’s health care as well as health issues that are unique to women, including:

Be sure to get early and regular prenatal care to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy. You should also get recommended breast cancer, cervical cancer, and bone density screenings.

Women’s Health Services
Bassett ACH provides comprehensive women's health services through our providers and community partners. Services include, but are not limited to
Counseling and assisting patients in lifestyle choices including sexuality, substance use/abuse, nutrition, exercise, hormone replacement, self-monitoring of breasts, skin and genitals; monitoring of health parameters such as blood pressure and weight with appropriate health screenings in accordance with current preventive care guidelines.
Providing patients with contraceptive care
to meet their individual needs for every stage of life.
Well-woman care such as cervical cancer screening, assessment and diagnosis of gynecological issues. Additionally, infertility counseling, low and high risk care throughout pregnancy and family planning services are provided.
Both major and minor gynecologic surgeries; postpartum care of hospitalized pregnant women; intrapartum care including electronic fetal monitoring, amniotomy, induction and augmentation of labor, spontaneous and assisted vaginal birth, cesarean section, repair of obstetric laceration, regional and local anesthesia.
Activities include prenatal education classes for preparation for birth and parenting, breast feeding education and women’s health education offerings on an as needed basis.
