Visitor Guidelines


Outpatient Appointments/Emergency Room-

Patient and one adult support person for invasive procedures including, but not limited to, PAP,  IUD, implant, vasectomy,  abscess incision and drainage, toenail removal, joint aspiration and  injection and biopsies.

Lab/Radiology -

Starting on Monday 14 Oct 2014 phlebotomy will be open until 3:00 p.m.·  
One adult escort for pediatric patients
·   No children in procedure room unless for their own procedure

Maternal Newborn Unit:

The MNU provides 24 hour services. Due to the nature of the specialty, there are no set visitation hours. Visitation is encouraged between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. For the health of our newborns, those who are sick, or have symptoms, are restricted from visiting the unit. Family members can stay in the room per the patient's wishes but cannot sleep in the waiting room. If a patient is COVID positive she can have limited visitors to one support person of her choosing. 

Multi-Service Unit:

There are no set visitation hours for our unit. While visitors are welcome 24/7 with patient permission, quiet hours are encouraged between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily. 
Please note:
  • Family and friends are encouraged to visit, but staff can restrict access based on the patient's condition, preference, room capacity or if visitors are disruptive.
  • All visitors are required to sign in at the nursing station.
  • Visitors must check with nursing staff before bringing food to the patient.
  • Visitation is subject to patient requests or provider's orders. Visitors must follow all infection control and Public Health guidelines if visiting patients on special precautions to mitigate spread of infection.
  • All children must be under the direct supervision of an adult that's not the patient. Neither the patient or hospital staff can be utilized as the supervision.
  • Animal visitation is limited to certified service animals under strict conditions.

 

Inpatient Visitation with COVID-19 Positive or Patient Under Investigation for COVID-19 -

·   One healthy (not quarantined or a PUI) support person who must wear appropriate PPE throughout the hospital stay. Support person will be restricted to the patient room, use the patient restroom and have meals delivered directly to the room. Once the support person leaves the room, they must exit the hospital and will not be permitted to reenter the facility unless for their own medical care.
