Public Health focuses on the health of individuals and the greater Ft. Wainwright Community. Clinic staff members work to protect, promote, and maintain health and well-being, and to prevent disease, disability, and death.

After Hours/Emergency Public Health Notification:
To report an emergency public health hazard to the Department of Public Health:
1. Call the Bassett Army Community Hospital Administrative Officer of the Day desk at 907-361-5521/5172.
2. Inform the AOD that you need to report an emergent event to the Department of Public Health.
3. In addition, please provide the following information:

Location of event
Personnel affected by event
Measures taken at event
4. The AOD will contact the Department of Public Health and communicate the information received. regarding the emergent event. The OIC and/or NCOIC will notify the appropriate Public Health staff to assist or take lead with resolving the event.
