MEDDAC-AK is Army Medicine in Alaska. We provide medical support over 585,000 square miles with split operations between Ft. Wainwright, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and Ft. Greely. Additional support is given to the personnel at Eielson Air Force Base and Clear Air Force Base. No matter which installation you are at, we are here to provide high-quality health care to you and your family.

Mission

Provide United States Army Forces in Alaska with sustained health service support and force health protection to enable Total Force Readiness, promoting health, and inspiring trust within our Military Community through high reliability healthcare delivery.

Vision

MEDDAC-Alaska is the premier healthcare delivery platform, providing expeditionary, responsive and medically ready and ready medical forces in support of USARAK and USAMDC missions to fight and win - anytime, anywhere.

Fort Wainwright

Our Headquarters is at Bassett Army Community Hospital located at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. This is where most of our 25,000 patients receive their medical care. Active duty soldiers, family members and retirees from all branches of federal service receive medical care here. In addition to Bassett ACH, we have Kamish Soldier Centered Medical Home, Behavioral Health and Public Health located on Fort Wainwright.

JBER

The soldiers at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson get their care at the JBER Army Medical Home. Family members and retirees in the area get their care from 673rd Hospital on the Air Force side of JBER.

Fort Greely

At Fort Greely, outside of Delta Junction is our newest and smallest clinic. The Greely Army Medical Clinic opened in 2016 and sees active duty soldiers, their family members, retirees and VA patients in the area. While remote, the clinic offers everything a clinic should offer, along with x-ray, hearing services, laboratory services and a pharmacy.
