The phone refill line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and allows refills to be called in for Bassett ACH or Ft. Greely or ScriptCenter at the PX. Be sure to have the patient’s date of birth and prescription number for each medication when calling in a refill.

Over the Counter Medications

Over the counter medications are available free of charge at the pharmacy. Patients can request up to four medications a week based on availability. For a list of medications, click here.

Controlled Substance Prescription Policy

The pharmacy follows state and federal regulations for filling controlled substances. Prescriptions for controlled substances are typically valid for a maximum of six months and all Schedule II medications are dispensed with a maximum of 30 day supply with no refills. There are authorized exceptions for medications prescribed for ADHD, which may be filled for up to a 90 day supply. Patients may receive up to a 90 day supply and up to five refills, for Schedule III thru Schedule V medications.

Medication Disposal

A secure medication drop box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at Bassett ACH. Use the box to dispose of unwanted, unused and expired medications in a safe manner. The box is located across from the information desk at the front entrance.

TRICARE Formulary Search Tool

Use the TRICARE Formulary Search Tool to look-up your drug. A search can tell you:
  • Formulary status (generic drug, brand-name drug, non-formulary drug, non-covered drug)
  • Where the prescription can be filled
  • Copayments and limitations, such as prior authorization
  • Coverage review requirements and forms
  • Alternative medications, including costs
To start your search, you’ll need to put in the brand name or generic name of the drug and then select the strength prescribed, as well as your gender and age.

FAQs

Q: Can I pick up prescriptions for my spouse?

A: Yes. If the patient is 10 years or older, their military ID card is required to pick up the prescription. A current copy of the ID card is also acceptable. Patients can photocopy a military ID card to assist in proof of eligibility and for the purpose of medical care. If you need additional assistance, go to the Patient Administration office at Bassett ACH for a statement of eligibility.

Q: I cannot find my military ID. Can I use my driver’s license to pick up medication?

A: No. If the patient is 10 years or older, their military ID card is required. This is true to at any military or TRICARE retail network pharmacy. The military ID card establishes eligibility for pharmacy services.

Q: I am going to run out of mediation over the long weekend. Can I get more before my provider sends the refill?

A: The pharmacy may be able to process a refill or provide an emergency supply until the provider can put in a prescription renewal as needed. Please go to the pharmacy for help. If it is a federal holiday, the emergency room may be able to assist.

Q: Can I get free over the counter medications from the pharmacy?

A: Yes. The pharmacy offers an Over-The-Counter (OTC) program. Patients can get four items each week if we have them in stock.
